Victorian Latte Art Winner 2009

Victorian Latte Art Winner 2009

Posted November 29, 2008 under Restaurants

Coffee CultureWe just got back from breakfast this morning and noticed a new award on the counter at the Mailing Room in Canterbury. Following on from Jenny’s post Best Coffee Experiences … VIC vs NSW. It is true that the a great café greets you with a coffee aroma when you walk in the door.

This morning our coffee was great, creamy and the temperature was just right and the aroma … beautiful.

I have also been getting my morning coffee from Nashi in Bourke Street in the Melbourne CBD. The queue has been gradually getting longer and longer, a sign that the barrista at Nashi knows how to make a great coffee.

If I am really early to work I will stop by Brother Baba Budan on Little Bourke Street, but this place has become really busy. This is a Coffee Snobs photo of Talor from Brother Buba Budan (a finalist this year).

I just confirmed on CoffeeSnobs that Kirby @ the Mailing Room did win 3rd Place Latte Art. This is a complete set of photos of the 2009 Victorian Barrista Championships.

There is nothing better than finding an expert Barista.

The problem is word spreads quickly and then the wait for a great coffee gets longer – but who’s complaining:)
